Adventure Center opens new kids trail on Asheville Treetops Adventure Park
The Adventure Center of Asheville has opened its new Purple Trail at the Asheville Treetops Adventure Park.

The trail includes 12 elements ranging in height from ground level to eight feet off the ground, just perfect for kids age 4-6. Adventure elements include beam walks, cargo net, a tunnel, plank bridges, cable bridges, and a zip line finish.

The purple trail is designed for 4-6-year olds wanting to "warm up" to the idea of climbing on our unique bridges and structures before challenging the Blue and Green trails. It is considered a "junior trail" and utilizes the “SafeRoller” system our 4-6 year old guests use throughout their experience. Adults/parents can walk alongside the trail to encourage, support, and assist their young adventure explorers. Typical use will be combined with use of the Blue and Green trails during a standard adventure park experience. It is included in the regular entry fee.

Things To Do In Asheville With Kids

Thanks to our friends at Crazy Family Adventure!

They recently included the Adventure Center of Asheville in a great post about some of WNC's best family friendly activities and we are honored to be near the top of the list!

Visit their website at http://www.crazyfamilyadventure.com/things-to-do-in-asheville-with-kids/ or read our exceprt below...

We fell in love with Asheville the minute we pulled in! Maybe it had to do with the walking/biking path that ran through the middle of our campground or the river flowing right behind our site, but the vibe made us want to be outside exploring. We definitely took advantage of the beautiful landscape and tried some really fun and unique adventures. Check them out!

ASHEVILLE – Delayed, bored and waiting for her flight to Fort Lauderdale last summer, Flori Pate could not stop looking at the empty, dark beige space inside Asheville Regional Airport.

It had potential, she said, and it was a prime location for visitors and tourists. A few months later, it became available as an advertising space for the Local Flavor AVL app.

For Flori Pate, who was a part of the trio that created the app — designed to give people an insider's view to a true Asheville experience — normal straight-forward marketing would not do.
