Annual Fundraising Event at The Adventure Center of Asheville

Adventure Center of Asheville event benefits local individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.

What:  6th Annual Zipping for Autism Event

Team up for the exhilarating experience of Ziplining in Asheville to support the Autism Society of North Carolina. Zipping for Autism, the first event of its kind in the country, has raised over $170,000 since it started.Organizers anticipate an even more successful year.

Teams of 10 people, who have raised a minimum of $800, will zipline on the urban canopy tour at the Adventure Center of Asheville. Teams raising $1,100 or more will also climb, walk, jump, swing and rappel over 30 towering trees in the wooded Asheville Treetops Adventure Park!

The event goal is to raise more than $50,000 by June 4, 2017. Every dollar raised will be donated to the Autism Society of North Carolina to be used in Western North Carolina to offer respite, increase advocacy, and assist families who cannot afford evaluative and diagnostic services.

Zipping for Autism will also host restaurant nights with proceeds from sales to benefit the event.

Teams should register at

Teams will zipline on June 4 at scheduled times throughout the day.

Jeff and Sheena Greiner, two of the owners of the Adventure Center of Asheville, wanted to give back to the organization that has served their son over the years. All proceeds raised by individuals and teams will go to the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC) to offer respite, increase advocacy and diagnostic services, and to assist families in our region.
