ATAP is a challenge course in the trees that has 77 unique climbing, rolling, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to over 30 trees and towering poles tucked into a wooded park. There are 7 different adventure trails ranging from beginner to challenging levels. There are several elements that are representative of the activities you can do in North Carolina including a sky kayak, a parkway tunnel, a snowboard in the sky, swinging hula hoops, bumper boats and a zip hang glider, all in the trees that make this a “Truly Asheville Adventure.”
We use a new technology called “smart belays” that, when used properly, are designed to assure Park Guests are attached to safety systems at all times and cannot detach from the system until they have completed the aerial trail and are back on the ground. Guests can explore freely knowing the safety system monitors their attachments and is designed to not allow accidental unclipping from the safety points. It is an active adventure that incorporates physical fitness and personal accomplishment.
The Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventure is an urban canopy tour that includes 11 ziplines and 3 sky bridges in treetop platforms on several large adventure towers with mountain and skyline views of Asheville. Jump on the Skyline Express to fly side-by-side with a friend for 1,200 feet. The three sky bridges are opportunities to slow down and look around in our largest trees to learn about the history of the city and the trees.
AZCA offers the best of many worlds. It is convenient to Asheville and exciting. It is urban with views of downtown Asheville. And it is set on a 124-acre resort and designated tree preserve perched in and amongst some of the oldest and largest oak trees in Asheville. Zippers will enjoy scenic mountain views, as well as spectacular views of the Asheville skyline, as they fly through tree-lined corridors.

Express tour (7 zips, 1 bridge) 2 hours
Skyline (5 zips with 1,200 ft. side-by-side zip) 1 hour- only available for groups

All the trails and features are designed to be progressive. So there are multiple ways to ride them. This encourages developing riders to advance their skills in a controlled environment.
ACA offers numerous opportunities for a wide range of team building experiences. Our highly skilled facilitators design fun and competitive programs utilizing our Low Ropes Elements and Initiatives, our Treetops Adventure Park aerial challenge course and our Tree Quest tree climbing.
Our low ropes facilitated programs with experienced instructors focuses on active interactions designed for guests to step outside of their typical comfort zones. We highlight the potential strengths of team task completion and the challenges of processes such as communication, group decision making, and task sharing/delegation. Our program is regularly described as fun, engaging, challenging, sometimes frustrating, thought provoking, and personally enlightening. The group will walk away knowing more about themselves and each other and hopefully shed light on some ideas the team can develop and implement long term.
Recreational tree climbing is a fun adventure activity where Guests use specialized gear and techniques to climb on one of our stately oak trees using a rope without negatively affecting the tree. Climbers “inch worm” their way up one of our eight climbs that range in height. TreeQuest allows Guests to enjoy an adventure activity in a controlled situation so that they can focus on the thrill of the activity and experience the environment they are in. Bring your group to come climb in the trees and experience life in the canopy.
Bring your group for a night climb at the Treetops Adventure Park. Watch the world transform from dusk to night while climbing in the trees. Trails will be illuminated to give climbing the obstacles a new perspective. Over 15,000 colored lights, plus colorful lasers sparkling on thousands of leaves, cables, rope, and platforms throughout the park will create a mystical tree climbing experience like you can’t imagine. The Black course is not open during the Twilight climbs.
Kid Zip is one of America’s first zipline adventures designed for kids 4-10 years old. It includes 9 ziplines and 4 fun climbing elements in a park area. It is a self-guided tour except for an adult escort. The ziplines range from 50 feet to 250 feet long. They range in height from 25 feet high to ground level.
