Asheville Treetops Adventure Park
ATAP is a challenge course in the trees that has 77 unique climbing, rolling, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to over 30 trees and towering poles tucked into a wooded park. There are 7 different adventure trails ranging from beginner to challenging levels. There are several elements that are representative of the activities you can do in North Carolina including a sky kayak, a parkway tunnel, a snowboard in the sky, swinging hula hoops, bumper boats and a zip hang glider, all in the trees that make this a “Truly Asheville Adventure.”
We use a new technology called “smart belays” that, when used properly, are designed to assure Park Guests are attached to safety systems at all times and cannot detach from the system until they have completed the aerial trail and are back on the ground. Guests can explore freely knowing the safety system monitors their attachments and is designed to not allow accidental unclipping from the safety points. It is an active adventure that incorporates physical fitness and personal accomplishment.
- ages 4 and over (trail restrictions for younger ages)
- escorts and/or monitors needed for younger ages
- 2 hours of adventure
- max weight of Guest is 265 lbs.

It is urban with views of downtown Asheville. And it is set on a 124-acre resort and designated tree preserve perched in and amongst some of the oldest and largest oak trees in Asheville. The Asheville Zipline Tour includes 9 ziplines and 1 sky bridge in treetop platforms and adventure towers with mountain and skyline views of Asheville. The trip time is about 2 hours (depending on the number of guests).
The Asheville Skyline Tour is an abbreviated version that is an opportunity to zipline down our 1,200 feet side-by-side ziplines! The trip time is about 1 hour (depending on the number of guests) and includes 5 ziplines in total.
Guests will start with “warm up” ziplines (called the Bunny Slopes) and then continue through the course. Ziplines range from several hundred feet long up to the ultimate thrill of our 1,200 feet long, side-by-side ziplines, which allow you to fly with a friend.

Team Building Low Ropes Facilitated Programs
ACA offers numerous opportunities for a wide range of team building experiences. Our highly skilled facilitators design fun and competitive programs utilizing our Low Ropes Elements and Initiatives, our Treetops Adventure Park aerial challenge course and our Tree Quest tree climbing.
Our low ropes facilitated programs with experienced instructors focuses on active interactions designed for guests to step outside of their typical comfort zones. We highlight the potential strengths of team task completion and the challenges of processes such as communication, group decision making, and task sharing/delegation. Our program is regularly described as fun, engaging, challenging, sometimes frustrating, thought provoking, and personally enlightening. The group will walk away knowing more about themselves and each other and hopefully shed light on some ideas the team can develop and implement long term.
TreeQuest
Recreational tree climbing is a fun adventure activity where Guests use specialized gear and techniques to climb on one of our stately oak trees using a rope without negatively affecting the tree. Climbers “inch worm” their way up one of our eight climbs that range in height.
