Twilight in the Treetops-Saturday Night Summer Climbs

Jun 20 – Sept 5, 7:30-9:30 PM On a fun summer evening, imagine climbing 40 feet in the air and zipping along a hang glider or a sky kayak in the largest adventure park in Western North Carolina. Then, as the sun starts to set, the challenges become illuminated with over 15,000 colored twinkle and laser lights. Five of the Adventure Park’s aerial trails become illuminated with all their leaves, cables, ropes and platforms.

This mystical climbing experience is offered Saturday nights this summer, the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov 28) and Sunday, Dec 27. The Twilight Climb is a great way to celebrate a holiday, birthday or milestone with friends or family. It can also be a fun way to have a date! Ages 4 and over can enjoy- and as always our Treetops Park is “Challenge by Choice”, so climbers can choose how high they want to climb following the age requirements for kids. We had the absolute BEST birthday celebration for our daughter turning 9. All she wanted for her birthday for the past six months was to go to a high ropes course. I could honestly not have been more pleased with the treetop adventure, and kids zip experience. The staff were so incredibly friendly And helpful with all of my questions. At first, it feels a little overwhelming when you’re learning some of the technicalities of the equipment used to tether you into the ropes course, but they have the most efficient system for “speed training“ everyone. I Found myself laughing and smiling the whole time at all the fun challenges on the course. And they have all different levels from beginner to advanced. I highly recommend trying the red and black courses (the two most difficult courses). Even my 9 year old wished she could try them because they looked so fun. As for KidZip, I wished I would have done it also as an adult. It’s fun for the whole family. We are already talking to family coming into town over the summer about going back and taking them!

A little on the commercial side, but this place has some great activities. We did mountain biking. The small area was compensated by very well thought out trails and some top quality practice areas. We particularly liked the jumps as we haven’t had much experience with them and it allowed for great practice. This place is great for developing and practicing technical mountain biking skills before heading into the larger (nearby) outdoors.

We always make such fun and positive memories here. I've been with groups several times and the process is as smooth and easy as you could ask for. I've come with just my daughter too and it's an incredible bonding experience. What an amazing opportunity to challenge yourself, support your loved ones and spend a day outside!

My family went with a big group and had an AMAZING time. We were a big enough group that we probably talked to everyone that works there from the front office to the obstacle courses and the ziplines and I can say that everyone was friendly and helpful. We all had an awesome time doing the obstacle courses and the ziplines. I saw how well the rangers handled kids who got nervous or scared. Sarah, who helped us with our group reservation, was especially helpful. I had millions of questions in setting up the reservation for our group and she had all the patience in the world. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area.

Came to zip line with my son and granddaughters ages 6 and 8. Had a wonderful time. The staff is great, the course is safe and well maintained. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun way to spend a few hours on a nice day.
