Opening after Hurricane Helene on Friday, Oct 11!

Then open Wed-Sunday 10-5

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we recognize the profound impact that this disaster has had on the southeastern United States, our community, friends and families. We are very fortunate that our staff are safe. Our main location in Asheville has power and little damage which we are also grateful for. As we come together to rebuild and heal, we invite our community to reconnect through outdoor recreation. Engaging in outdoor activities promotes well-being and we invite you to do that with us! Please email with questions: info@adventurecenterofasheville.com. Our phones lines are still down.

Current status at ACA: We have power, but no running water. We do have several port-a-johns and a foot-pump hand washing station.

#AshevilleLookingForward- Favorite Asheville Restaurant

As we look forward to our “new normal” once the world is in a better place, we have asked our staff about the favorite things they are looking forward to.  And our staff loves local food!

So as we “restaurant dream” here are our Staff Picks-Favorite Restaurant in Asheville:

The Asheville Food Scene is now called “Foodtopia” by Exploreasheville.com.  This title is based on the local farms, chefs, food adventures, culinary tours and restaurants that make our city an amazing collaborative food and drink experience.
Asheville offers a wide range of “foodtopian” options.  From several James Beard award nominees and winners who offer fine dining to curbside eclectic food trucks to family friendly taprooms and ice cream.
Fresh and local seems to be the theme.  You can even sign up for a food foraging tour in which you can take your fresh ingredients to a local restaurant for dinner.
Check out these lists for more ideas:

****And while we “restaurant” dream, since our favs are temporarily closed, here are good lists of those that are open for take out:
