Schools-Out Adventure Afterschool and Kolo Bike Park Club for kids ages 5-15 this September

To get the wiggles out during an online school day, we are offering outdoor afterschool programs to supplement the school day to get your kids outside into the fresh air at our on-site 100 acres in Asheville. Following our popular summer camp programs, offering a supplemental fall schedule for kids to get off screens, exercise, and have fun just seemed like a great opportunity for families this fall. Programs may continue into October depending on the local school schedules.

We’re Offering 2 Program Options

Adventure Afterschool

Afterschool Fall Fun! Weekly programs designed to supplement an altered school day by providing outdoor, immersive adventures for your 5-8 or 9-15 year-old student. Under the care of our trained adventure staff, participants will explore over 100 acres of beautiful mountain space, conduct experiments while they traverse high ropes and team-building elements, and climb trees combining experimental science with high adventure. Come join us for an unforgettable fall adventure! $129/week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Ages 5-8 years old: 12:00 pm-2:45 pm
Ages 9-15 years old: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
Weekly from August 31-October 2 on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays

Kolo Bike Park Afterschool Bike Club

During the amended school schedule, join the Kolo Afterschool Bike Club to grow your skills and enjoy fun afternoons on bikes! Spend the afternoon working on bike handling and riding all the trails and features of the park. Students must be comfortable riding bikes off-road, as this is not a club to teach kids how to ride or for beginners. Kolo is excited to be able to offer local students a great afternoon activity in an open-air environment on over 100 acres. Come shred and enjoy mountain biking with us!

$250/month on Tuesdays & Thursdays
Ages 5-8 years old: Little Rippers Club from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm
Ages 9-15 years old: Big Senders Club from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
Sept 1-Sept 29, Tuesdays & Thursdays only

We had the absolute BEST birthday celebration for our daughter turning 9. All she wanted for her birthday for the past six months was to go to a high ropes course. I could honestly not have been more pleased with the treetop adventure, and kids zip experience. The staff were so incredibly friendly And helpful with all of my questions. At first, it feels a little overwhelming when you’re learning some of the technicalities of the equipment used to tether you into the ropes course, but they have the most efficient system for “speed training“ everyone. I Found myself laughing and smiling the whole time at all the fun challenges on the course. And they have all different levels from beginner to advanced. I highly recommend trying the red and black courses (the two most difficult courses). Even my 9 year old wished she could try them because they looked so fun. As for KidZip, I wished I would have done it also as an adult. It’s fun for the whole family. We are already talking to family coming into town over the summer about going back and taking them!

A little on the commercial side, but this place has some great activities. We did mountain biking. The small area was compensated by very well thought out trails and some top quality practice areas. We particularly liked the jumps as we haven’t had much experience with them and it allowed for great practice. This place is great for developing and practicing technical mountain biking skills before heading into the larger (nearby) outdoors.

We always make such fun and positive memories here. I've been with groups several times and the process is as smooth and easy as you could ask for. I've come with just my daughter too and it's an incredible bonding experience. What an amazing opportunity to challenge yourself, support your loved ones and spend a day outside!

My family went with a big group and had an AMAZING time. We were a big enough group that we probably talked to everyone that works there from the front office to the obstacle courses and the ziplines and I can say that everyone was friendly and helpful. We all had an awesome time doing the obstacle courses and the ziplines. I saw how well the rangers handled kids who got nervous or scared. Sarah, who helped us with our group reservation, was especially helpful. I had millions of questions in setting up the reservation for our group and she had all the patience in the world. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area.

Came to zip line with my son and granddaughters ages 6 and 8. Had a wonderful time. The staff is great, the course is safe and well maintained. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun way to spend a few hours on a nice day.
