Opening after Hurricane Helene on Friday, Oct 11!

Then open Wed-Sunday 10-5

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we recognize the profound impact that this disaster has had on the southeastern United States, our community, friends and families. We are very fortunate that our staff are safe. Our main location in Asheville has power and little damage which we are also grateful for. As we come together to rebuild and heal, we invite our community to reconnect through outdoor recreation. Engaging in outdoor activities promotes well-being and we invite you to do that with us! Please email with questions: info@adventurecenterofasheville.com. Our phones lines are still down.

Current status at ACA: We have power, but no running water. We do have several port-a-johns and a foot-pump hand washing station.

Adventure Center of Asheville is your Winter Sports Destination for Winter Outdoor Activity Fun !

In the mountains of Western North Carolina, we love our fresh mountain winter air and our variety of available winter outdoor activities!  Locals and Visitors bundle up and get out of the house with friends and family to enjoy winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing.  In Asheville, we do enjoy many clear days of abundant sunshine and often warm winter temperatures which also make it a perfect time of the year to hike, mountain bike, and enjoy awesome aerial adventures like a Zipline or Adventure Park!   Whether you live in Asheville or you are visiting the Mountains of WNC to have an outdoor experience, you’re likely to find that the rental lines, lift lines, and slopes at most of our popular ski resorts (like Sugar Mountain, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Wolf Ridge) are quite crowded this time of year. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds and still have an unforgettable outdoor sports experience, head to the Adventure Center of Asheville!

At the Adventure Center, all of our winter outdoor activities are open on the weekends all winter and are not crowded!  We have decreased our maximum guest count for each activity, so we can provide extra space and time to enjoy all of our adventures!  And you don’t have to wait in long lines.

Winter 2023, we would love to offer our guests our biggest discounts of the year! ACA is your Winter Sports Destination. We are open Fridays-Sundays with Ziplines, Kid Ziplines, Treetops Adventure Park, and Kolo Bike Park.

Get 20% off the Asheville Ziplines, KidZip, and Asheville Treetops Adventure Park by using the code “WINTER” when you make your reservations.

Or, for our Neighbors who are permanent residents in Buncombe, Henderson, Transylvania, Madison, Haywood, or McDowell Counties, get 50% off our Treetops Park and KidZip. Use code “AVLVIP” to get 50% off.  (Must show ID at check-in.)

These specials are available in JANUARY and FEBRUARY 2023 when we are open Fridays-Sundays. Reservations are suggested as we have set start times.

Or if you prefer to shred our trails, Kolo Bike Park is $10 to ride all day on Sunday Fundays through March 26. Call our office to check conditions: 828.225.2921.

So grab your coat and come enjoy a winter adventure with us!

Asheville Zipline Canopy Tours

For ages 8 and over, we offer 9 ziplines and 1 sky bridge to go zipping through the trees with views of downtown Asheville.

Asheville Treetops Adventure Park

For ages 4 and over, we have 7 aerial trails with 77 elements from ground level to 50 feet in the air. For those old enough, choose which trails you want to conquer and have fun challenging your friends or family on our sky-kayak or hang glider, cheese wall or slide to nowhere, sea-turtle swing, or AERIAL snowboard.

KidZip Park

Kids aged 4-10 want to zipline, too!  So we made a Zipline Park only for them!  With 9 ziplines and 4 climbs with lines from ground level to 25 feet high, it is a perfect zipline playground for our youngest flyers!

Kolo Bike Park

When the ground is dry, come shred on our 4 miles of trails, 2 pump tracks, multi-lane jump lines, and many skills elements scattered through the Park.  For beginners, we have a skills area and an upper pump track.  For advanced riders, we have awesome jumps, drops, and the Tetter Totter of Doom.  For our youngest shredders, we have Littleville and Balance Bikes to rent.

And speaking of, we have Rocky Mountain Bikes to rent to use at Kolo Bike Park or to take off the property.  With some of the most competitive prices in the area, check out what we have to offer.

However, be sure to check out our Skiing, Snow Board and Snow Tubing fun in the area.

Asheville Area Ski and Snowboard Mountains

Our 2 closest ski/snowboard locations are at Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley and Wolfe Ridge Ski Resort at Wolfe Laurel.  Wolfe Ridge has a vertical drop of 700 feet and 54 acres of terrain. There are 6 slopes and 3 lifts and fun cottage lodging in the area.   Cataloochee has a vertical drop of 740 feet on 50 acres with 18 trails and 5 lifts.  They both have ski/snowboard schools, equipment rentals, and snow tube locations.
