Winter Outdoor Activity Fun in the Asheville Area!
In the mountains of Western North Carolina, we love our fresh mountain winter air and our variety of available winter outdoor activity! Locals and Visitors bundle up and get out of the house with friends and family to enjoy winter sports like skiing, snow boarding and snow tubing. In Asheville, we do enjoy many clear days of abundant sunshine and often warm winter temperatures which also make it a perfect time of the year to hike, mountain bike, and enjoy awesome aerial adventures like a Zipline or Adventure Park! Whether you live in Asheville or you are visiting the Mountains of WNC to have an outdoor experience, you’re likely to find that the rental lines, lift lines, and slopes at most of our popular ski resorts (like Sugar Mountain, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Wolf Ridge) are quite crowded this time of year. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds and still have an unforgettable outdoor experience, head to the Adventure Center of Asheville!
At the Adventure Center, all of our winter outdoor activities are open on the weekends all winter and are not crowded! We have decreased our maximum guest count for each activity, so we can provide extra space and time to enjoy all of our adventures! And you don’t have to wait in long lines. Purchase your limited trip times online or by calling 828.225.2921. Fill out your waivers online. Then we offer no-contact check-in at our Welcome Center. Grab your wrist band and go! FACE MASKS are REQUIRED FOR ALL OUR GUESTS AND STAFF! And extra COVID-19 plans are in place!

Asheville Treetops Adventure Park
For ages 4 and over, we have 7 aerial trails with 77 elements from ground level to 50 feet in the air. For those old enough, choose which trails you want to conquer and have fun challenging your friends or family on our sky-kayak or hang glider, cheese wall or slide to nowhere, sea-turtle swing or aerial snow board.
Kids age 4-10 want to zipline, too! So we made a Zipline Park only for them! With 9 ziplines and 4 climbs with lines ground level to 25 feet high, it is a perfect zipline playground for our youngest flyers!
When the ground is dry, come shred on our 4 miles of trails, 2 pump tracks, multi-lane jump lines and many skills elements scattered through the Park. For beginners, we have a skills area and upper pump track. For advanced riders, we have awesome jumps, drops, and the Tetter Totter of Doom. For our youngest shredders we have Littleville and Balance Bikes to rent.
And speaking of, we have Rocky Mountain Bikes to rent to use at Kolo Bike Park or to take off property. With some of the most competitive prices in the area, check out what we have to offer.
However, be sure to check out our Skiing, Snow Board and Snow Tubing fun in the area. If you do, then be sure to mention that when you make a reservation with us and we will give you 20% off each guest.
