Read more: 11th Annual Haunted Trail at the Adventure Center of AshevilleThe Haunted Trail itself has 18 live-action scenes with roughly 40-50 actors a night. We do everything from a martian disco, to an erupting volcano, a mad doctor, a whole western town and so much more. Pirates Cove at the entrance has our 10-minute escape room, a live mermaid, photo stations, an Octopus Obstacle Course, and Captain’s Challenges. The first festival tent has Mellow Mushroom, our Spookeasy serving Hillman Beer, Gingers Revenge, and Burial, our sponsor tables, and a Li’l Ghouls area for smaller kids. The second festival tent has a New Glow Zone and photo booth, and giant games. We have a donut and popcorn truck. And we have our Not-so-Mellow game field full of giant games and live contests.
In addition to all of that The Aerial Glow Trail in an epic climbing experience in an illuminated ropes course at the Treetops Adventure Park.
We also give back in a big way because We Scare Because We Care
- Our Boo To Hunger program gives back $1 from every ticket and we have already raised over 73,000 meals in just 3 years for MANNA
- For every adult beverage, we give $1 to Camp Lakey Gap and we also offer a Sensory Friendly Night on Oct. 22nd using Camp Lakey Gap counselors who offer sensory-friendly services to anyone interested.
- And the Rock Academy uses the Haunted Trail as a fundraising opportunity for Give To The Music.
The Haunted Trail is created by Asheville Plays. We are a local family business that produces with show and we partner with the Adventure Center who hosts us at their incredible location right in the middle of West Asheville.
