The Adventure Center of Asheville is excited to be the 2021 venue for the 9th Annual Haunted Trail presented by Mellow Mushroom. The no-touch no-contact outdoor Haunted Trail is the only Halloween event in Asheville that is ideal for children ages 3-12 years old. Experience a family-friendly heart-pumping walk with live actors, spooky sounds, and spectacular props. The younger ghouls can enjoy the (actor-free) “Sweet Peek Tour” of the Trail at 6:30pm before it gets dark.
The Treetops Adventure Park Aerial Glow Trail will also be available for ages 4 and over. Climb on one trail while it is illuminated with thousands of colored twinkle and laser lights.
In addition to the Trails, there will also be spooky live entertainment, family activities, and concessions. It is a perfect way to celebrate the Halloween season with the family.

IMPORTANT: With a COMBO PASS, arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 REGARDLESS of your Glow Trail time. Each activity will take between 45 minutes and an hour depending upon lines. Guests must be in their last line for any activity by 9:00PM.

Upon arrival at The Adventure Center of Asheville please go to the Information Desk nearest the parking area. They will send you to the correct place to check-in for either the Haunted Trail or Glow Trail or both.
***** Online Haunted Trail/Glow Trail waivers should be completed when making reservations to significantly reduce wait time at check-in.
Due to the anticipated volume all reservations are final and cannot be cancelled/refunded but can be transferred in advance by contacting the Adventure Center of Asheville at 828-225-2921. Time slots cannot be transferred after the time has past. “No shows” cannot transfer their time. Transfers are based on space availability and may be limited due to capacity maximums.
Have a family-friendly fright night and say Boo To Hunger! The Haunted Trail, is supporting the efforts of MANNA Food Bank who is serving the immediate needs of our community. $1 from every ticket will go directly to MANNA to say Boo To Hunger. Last year, 16,000 meals were donted to MANNA from the admissions at the Haunted Trail.
October 22nd is Autism Awareness Night sponsored by Great Beginnings with previews and support for guests that might have sensory needs and need extra support.
The Haunted Trail is produced by Asheville Plays!. Asheville Plays! was founded by a local husband and wife team, Arica Haro and Hahns Banzer who create lasting memories through the power of play. The Haunted Trail is Asheville Plays! signature event, and they are striving to make The Trail a treasured part of your family’s tradition.
Join us for a “Sensory-Friendly” walk through the Haunted Trail on a designated night from 6:30pm to 9pm! In cooperation with Camp Lakey Gap Autism Programs, we will be providing a family-friendly Haunted Trail experience with special accommodations for youth or adults with sensory issues. To access these accommodations, please come to the “Camp Lakey Gap” table when you arrive at the Adventure Center of Asheville and let us know what you need.
