Adventure Center Reopening!
The Adventure Center of Asheville is excited to announce our reopening schedule for May due to the Phase 1 Transition of the Buncombe County Stay Home-Stay Safe order for Outdoor Activities!
- Wednesday, May 20, the Treetops Adventure Park and KidZip will re-open
- Friday, May 22, the Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures will re-open
- Kolo Bike Park will remain open.
All of our activities are opening with amended attendance and schedules, extensive COVID-19 protocols (face coverings required), and new social distancing and cleaning procedures. You can find the latest information here.
Our Summer Day Camps are scheduled to operate June 8-August 10 also with COVID-19 protocols and social distancing and cleaning procedures. More information is coming soon!
In creating our re-opening plans, we are carefully following the plans of Buncombe County and North Carolina regulators. Safety continues to be our main focus for all who work and visit the Adventure Center for our activities and to include public health considerations brought about by COVID-19.
As with Kolo Bike Park, you may find that we have changed some of our scheduled trip times and maximum number of Guests. These restrictions will help reduce lines, crowding, and close interactions with others. While, on the aerial adventures, we can’t eliminate all social contact with our staff, we will be implementing strict social distancing protocols and diligent cleaning measures to address Guest and staff interactions.
Our intention is to remain open to serve our Guests and employ our team as long as Guests support these restrictions and follow stringent social distancing. It is known that being outdoors in fresh air has many positive effects on general health, including sunlight having the capability to destroy a virus. Therefore, we are proactively creating new protocols and procedures to create a sustainable outdoor environment full of adventure and fun!
