Kolo Bike Park Summer Day Camps- “Shred ’til Bed!”
“Shred ’til bed!” is what we hear campers and parents say daily in the morning of Kolo Bike Camp and Kolo Kiddie Camp. And they mean it! Our campers spend all week riding their mountain bikes, working on their skills progression, and building their confidence on and off the bike. At Kolo Bike Park, just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville, we offer a fun sampler pack of mountain bike riding from pump tracks and trails to our jump line and skills area.
Mountain biking has been found (by us, and many experts) to be a great way to get outside, get active, and improve motor skills and confidence. When campers come to Kolo Bike Park Summer Camps, our counselors meet them at their level and work with them throughout the week to help them improve their skills. We’ve helped campers who are barely comfortable riding off-road, to become intermediate shredders by the end of the week. We owe that to our skilled counselors, who have a passion to help their campers succeed.
When campers aren’t riding, they’re still staying active in both mind and body. With 100 acres to roam, they might play some field games, go to our local pool, or just take their lunch break to meet other campers. The bottom line is, our campers are going home self-assured, tired, and happy!
And just FYI- Campers MUST be comfortable riding a two-wheeled pedal bike off-road. These camps are not for strider balance bikes or to teach your child to ride 2 wheels. Helmets are required each day.
