Welcome 2021 at The Adventure Center of Asheville!

We cannot recall a single end-of-the-year celebration that drew as much passion and attention as December 31, 2020.

Although only symbolic, the sense that “we made it and we can keep going forward” is a brief sigh of relief as we view 2020 in our rearview mirrors. But even as we start 2021, our various challenges and concerns regarding COVID-19, business viability, and Guest interest continue. Although we have turned the calendar, we are only just starting to round the corner. Hard decisions, short-term limits to freedoms we hold so dear (and miss so much), and disrupted schedules still linger and haunt us in the new year.

Since we are open all year, the winter at The Adventure Center of Asheville is a time to reflect, reenergize, redesign, and recommit to the upcoming busy season. We will do the same this year, focusing on our commitment to the overall safety and success of our Team, our Guests, and our Company. We are so very grateful for our Guests who were able to join us in 2020 and we missed many of you that were not able to visit. We made many new friends at ACA and we look forward to reuniting with many old friends. In 2021, you can count on us to continue to adhere to the most current CDC, state, regional, and local COVID-19 protocols for Guests & staff.

Also in 2021, we look forward to continuing and expanding many of our newer outdoor adventure programs. Kolo Bike Park will expand their Afterschool Bike Club and Saturday Shred Sessions to the Spring. Summer Day Camps will include a new director for Adventure Camp, and more dates have been set for Kolo Kiddie Camp for our youngest shredders. Our 2nd Annual hosting of The Haunted Trail will take place in October. E-bikes will be a new option at Kolo Bike Park. And look for a challenging Axe Throwing Trail coming this Spring.

We had the absolute BEST birthday celebration for our daughter turning 9. All she wanted for her birthday for the past six months was to go to a high ropes course. I could honestly not have been more pleased with the treetop adventure, and kids zip experience. The staff were so incredibly friendly And helpful with all of my questions. At first, it feels a little overwhelming when you’re learning some of the technicalities of the equipment used to tether you into the ropes course, but they have the most efficient system for “speed training“ everyone. I Found myself laughing and smiling the whole time at all the fun challenges on the course. And they have all different levels from beginner to advanced. I highly recommend trying the red and black courses (the two most difficult courses). Even my 9 year old wished she could try them because they looked so fun. As for KidZip, I wished I would have done it also as an adult. It’s fun for the whole family. We are already talking to family coming into town over the summer about going back and taking them!

We had a great time on the zipline course!!! Jack and Natalie were fun and professional. They made the experience anxiety free and soo much fun.

A little on the commercial side, but this place has some great activities. We did mountain biking. The small area was compensated by very well thought out trails and some top quality practice areas. We particularly liked the jumps as we haven’t had much experience with them and it allowed for great practice. This place is great for developing and practicing technical mountain biking skills before heading into the larger (nearby) outdoors.

We always make such fun and positive memories here. I've been with groups several times and the process is as smooth and easy as you could ask for. I've come with just my daughter too and it's an incredible bonding experience. What an amazing opportunity to challenge yourself, support your loved ones and spend a day outside!

Our family had the best time. We have younger children and they were scared and intimated at first but the staff was AMAZING with them. Highly recommend!!!!

My family went with a big group and had an AMAZING time. We were a big enough group that we probably talked to everyone that works there from the front office to the obstacle courses and the ziplines and I can say that everyone was friendly and helpful. We all had an awesome time doing the obstacle courses and the ziplines. I saw how well the rangers handled kids who got nervous or scared. Sarah, who helped us with our group reservation, was especially helpful. I had millions of questions in setting up the reservation for our group and she had all the patience in the world. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area.

Came to zip line with my son and granddaughters ages 6 and 8. Had a wonderful time. The staff is great, the course is safe and well maintained. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun way to spend a few hours on a nice day.
